City of Black Hawk and Black Hawk Casinos donate $157,000 to Boulder County Wildfire Relief
Mayor David D. Spellman and the Black Hawk City Council approved a $50,000 donation from the City of Black Hawk for Boulder County wildfire relief.
The City’s $50,000 donation to the Community Foundation of Boulder County will be matched by the Black Hawk casinos through their Metropolitan District totaling $100,000. Saratoga Casino donated an additional $50,000 along with another $7,000 from The Wildcard Casino and Sasquatch Casino totaling $157,000 which will be donated to the Community Foundation of Boulder County. This well-respected non-profit organization has a proven track record of collecting donations and distributing financial assistance efficiently to people affected by disasters like the Marshall Fire.
“The residents of Superior, Louisville, and Boulder County are our friends and neighbors. It’s our duty as Coloradans and Americans to help them as they rebuild their lives from this unprecedented tragedy,” said Mayor Spellman.
“After seeing the devastation caused by the wildfire in Boulder, we knew we needed to provide support,” said Tim Morrissey, General Manager of Saratoga Casino Hotel. “We’re committed to helping neighboring communities in their time of need and our hearts go out to all the families that have been impacted.”
